Vincent Beltoise over the Atlantic!
2011 season is about to start. Formula 1 and IndyCar have already done some tests day.
Why are we talking about Indycar?
Because Vincent will compete the USF2000 championship in the USA. Single seat car USF2000 championship belongs to the “Road to Indy” and constitutes ones of the first steps to go in Indycar.
The young driver from Ales will do all season with Cape Motorsport. One of the championships tops teams since many years. For example, the Cape brothers have won five championships, three rookie-of-the-year honors and amassed 54 wins and 68 poles positions in the USF2000.

The car:
A F2000 chassis is of a flat-bottom, tubular, space frame design manufactured by Van Diemen. The cars must have a net weight of 1,220 pounds (weight after a qualifying session or race with remaining fuel in the car but without the driver).
Engines:
USF2000 are equipped with Mazda four-cylinder engines, double-overhead-cam, fuel-injected, 2,000cc engines that generate 170 Bhp and are capable of powering cars to a top speed of 150 Mph.
Tires:
13’’ slick and rain tires manufactured by Cooper Tires.

La saison 2011 est dans les starting bloc. En effet la Formula 1 et l’Indycar ont effectué les premiers essais de la saison.
Pourquoi parlons-nous d’Indycar?
Parce que Vincent va disputer le championnat USF2000 aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique. Ce championnat de monoplace constitue l’un des échelons de la « Road to Indy » menant à l’Indycar.
Le jeune pilote originaire d’Ales effectuera ses premiers essais en début de semaine prochaine avec Cape Motosport, écurie avec laquelle il disputera l’intégralité de la saison. Cape Motorsport est l’un des tops team du championnat depuis de nombreuses années. Pour preuve, leur palmarès dans la catégorie : Les frères Cape ont gagné 5 fois le championnat, 3 titres de meilleur rookie, 54 victoires et 68 poles positions.

La monoplace:
L’USF2000 est équipée d’un châssis tubulaire Van Diemen. Les voitures doivent peser au moins 550 kg.
Le moteur:
Le moteur fournit par Mazda est un quatre cylindre double arbre à cames de 2l de cylindrée.
Ce dernier développe 170 cv afin de propulser la voiture à une vitesse maximale de
240 km/h.
Les pneus:
Slick et pluie de 13’’ sont vendus par Cooper Tires.
